Update for SF Tanzania Board

Nai-Nancy updated the Savannas Forever (SF) Tanzani board at their November 24, 2025 meeting about the ongoing success of the Native Seed Initiative. Her full presentation is below.

She highlighted the launch and early growth of the organization. SF now has 79 Champions cultivating over 25 acres, with 4 acres dedicated to seed multiplication.

The addition of extension officers who conducted twice-monthly visits has helped with monitoring for weeds and invasives, goal measurement and continuing education.

The Champions have also produced 120-130 bales of forage for use by their family and/or for sale. The developing drought will encourage the champions to holdonto this resource for their livestock.
